Bull-ish Awards: Most likely to be playin us for Sucka’s 2007

Tag: Internet, Uncategorized, bull-ish.comThe Bull-ish Blogger @ 4:32 pm

This award was hard to pick, Both really earned recognition and instead of leaving one out, they will share this award. So who is most likely to be playin us for sucka’s in 2007? First of all, did you try to buy a Nintento Wii this year? couldn’t find one huh? Why is it a full year later, you still cannot walk into a store and buy a Nintendo Wii!!!

This is Insane!!!

Nintendo is playin us for Sucka’s

Stall us out, don’t make enough Wii’s and the demand will always be there. "People always want what they cant have, so lets play them fool’s" is what I imagine is being said behind the scenes over there at the Nintendo offices. The sad thing is, we are falling for it. I could care less about Nintendo gaming or waving my arms around to play games but I want a Wii cause I cant find one.

Google is playin us for Sucka’s

Nintendo is just 1 half of this years award, Who else deserves recognition for most likely to be playin us for sucka’s in 2007? Well a few months ago, there was some beat downs being dealt  around the web. Andy beard got his ass beat, Paula Neal Mooney got her ass beat, Jonzee.com got his ass beat. Websites and blogs we’re catching beat downs by none other than those Google Bastards. Our beloved Google gave us a taste of their evil dictatorship by dropping Page Rank’s, Search engine ranking, and everything else to websites that were using something other than Adsense to make their money. This is a quote from what someone told me they overheard at Google.

Those mindless bloggers think they are going to use our page rank system to make money, and bypass the use of adwords or adsense? Thats taking money from us!!! Do they know who they are @*!&ing with?  Release the hounds!!! Erase them completely if you have too!!! let them know we mean business

Can you believe that? Sounds a little crazy to me, but thats what someone told me they over heard so it must be true right? True or not, Google was acting like that "spoiled child that wants to be the boss of everyones toys" and earned without a doubt the half of this years award.

Bull-ish Awards: Most overrated Product 2007

Tag: Uncategorized, bull-ish.com, technologyThe Bull-ish Blogger @ 8:08 am

There has been a lot of product introductions in 2007. The Eee PC, Amazons Kindle, the Eye-Fi wireless SD card. Some of these products were good, some came and went, but none were more overhyped and overrated than this years winner of Bull-ish.com’s Most Overrated product of 2007. Rumors of the iPhone had actually been around for a few years but at the end of 2006 there were some concrete evidence that the iPhone was indeed coming. In January Apple finally announce the product and the whole web went wild. a couple months later and the iPhone was released and for months on end it has been one of the hottest, most talked about product.

So why is the iPhone the most overrated product of 2007

2 reasons.

  • It was too expensive.
  • It is a crippled device.

iPhoneWhy do I say its crippled? First let me say the iPhone is not a bad device, it is a good device. its just overrated. There are a lot of things done right with the iPhone, such as the large screen, the multi-touch technology. The browser and the email client. Beyond that, theres pretty much nothing else to the phone. The phone doesn’t even have any games for Christ sakes. When was the last time a cell phone shipped with no games at all, an no way to purchase them. And why cant I send or receive picture messages?

As it stands today, the iPhone is barely a smartphone, most other devices that fit into the smartphone category can do a lot more. Hopefully, Apple will update the phone to add more features, it is definetly capable of doing a lot more, its just crippled. If you hack your iPhone, you can do tons of stuff with it, but then you risk having it bricked by Apple.

Downloading or copying music is NOT the same as Stealing…Stop saying it!

Tag: Internet, bull-ish.comThe Bull-ish Blogger @ 6:20 pm

Homer-Simpson-Santa-ClauseI still remember the first time I heard someone refer to downloading illegal music as "stealing music". It was some form of RIAA publication to make people aware that the music that they are downloading, for free is wrong. Since then the phrase "stealing music" has been used more frequently. It has almost become the common phrase for downloading or copying  copyright material. The term "stealing music" still makes my stomach turn every time I hear it. Basically because that is a false statement.

Yep I said it

Stealing Music is a lie!!!

Today, Im going to go to Walmart. I’m going to walk over to the electronics section and find Jay Z’s newest CD. Im going to pick it up and put it in my jacket and walk out of the store…without paying. I’m kidding, I wouldn’t do anything like that but that is what it means to steal music. You actually go to a store and pick up the cd and walk out without paying. That is stealing music.

When you download a song online, you are not stealing.

Why? I know what you’re thinking. You think I feel that if it isn’t a psychical item, like a CD I think it isn’t stealing. No that is not what Im getting at. I know you can steal virtual and digital items. It doesn’t matter what form the item comes in, what matters is how you are getting the item. The main simple fact about most music that is being downloaded is this…

The music that you are downloading has been made available to you.

It is there for you to download. That song is there with the sole purpose of people coming along and downloading it just like everything else on the Web. Its not like you hacked iTunes and are downloading songs that iTunes is expecting you to purchase…that would be stealing. But downloading some file that is made available for you to download is not stealing. I don’t care how illegal the file it, it is not stealing! Stop calling it "stealing music"

Thats not to say I think there is nothing wrong with illegally downloading music. Im not saying that. The RIAA and MPAA uses words like Stealing and Theft to let you know that it is wrong, but it is misleading.

What is this with all the Bull-ish?

Tag: bull-ish.comThe Bull-ish Blogger @ 8:33 pm

Thats Bull

Bull-ish.comA lot of what you read on the net is pure bull. People’s opinions, Ideas, what if you just said what you thought at the moment. Not what you believe, or how you really feel. Just what you think at the precise moment you read or hear something. What goes through your head.

This blog is going to cover a lot of topics, but what I write is only going to be written for entertainment purposes.

Satire

Humor

Spoof

Don’t get me wrong, some things I write will make good sense and will be how I really feel. However, not everything you read here is going to be something to take seriously… You know… just like the rest of the net. My name is Bull Jackson…of coarse thats not my real name (if you were wondering). Its a character. That character is the author of this blog. Who am I for real?

I’m Not Telling!!!

Mainly because its just way too easy to find out. Pay attention!!! And the other reason is, who cares? Its not like you really know me anyway. You find out my real name and then what? I’m not "Web-popular", or an A-list blogger. I don’t work for any company that you care about. I cant get you anything for free, or tell you any secrets. If you find out, you have absolutely nothing to brag about.

So this is the first blog post of Bull-ish.com, I’m going to have fun, hope you have fun with me.
